This past Christmas we went to the States to visit family and friends. Below are a few of the pix I took while in the air and on the ground. I hope you enjoy them! The first isjust outside West Lebanon, NH, near where my son works.

And finally an interesting island we flew over just before we landed in Boston.

Glenn, hope you had a good visit! Your pictures are excellent. The snowscape from New Hampshire is a postcard! Dittofor the image ofManhattan from the air, although some noise reduction on it would help.I'verun it through Noisewarebelow (hope you did not mind). In the mean time, I wouldbe interested in seeing more.

Very nice, Glenn. I'm curious what island that was near Boston. How close were you to landing when you spotted it?

The West Lebanon is lovely. It is very pretty up there. One of my favorites spot to go with my camera.

That's Little Nahant, located north of Boston.

Lovely pictures! The first one is my kind of place, definitely. The one of Manhattan is an interesting shot, really like it, but wouldn't want to be there.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Patty, Ireally enjoybeing in NH. I was born in NYC and I like that too, but my Mom was from a little town called Contoocook and we used to go there every summer for vacation. Rufus, thanks for the info on that island. We banked right over the top of it so it was easy to get the shot. It was also early AM so the light was nice for those kinds of shots. It was a bit dark so the ISO was up to 800, thus the noise. It also gave me a chance to use my new lens, a Tamron 24-135.LBA strikes again!

I have posted these and some more on my Picasa site http://picasaweb.google.com/glenn2shelia/Christmas07if anyone is interested.

I also have a question. Is it possible to download pix from Picasa to this forum as I have seen many others do from other sites? Thanks again for looking and commenting.
