Hi Roy
The PC i have at Work is not a dual core. My company Does not spend Top dollar on any pc. It is a cheap Dell.
I am at Home now and on My laptop, i only get 1 line. So i have no clue what it means that its listed twice. If i get to my Big Pc downstairs, i will take a look at what that says.

pentium 4'smeans you have a hyper-threaded processor. notan actual independent dualcore, but a virtual 2nd processor but will show as two to the operating system. the pentium d's have the independent dual core's, i.e. two processors in one. tricky it is.

That makes sence. My laptop is Pentium M not a P4. Hence it only shows One listing

I get two lines for my AMD Athlon64 X2 4200. Clicking on the General Tab also tells me which CPU I have. If you want all the details use the CPU ID Program which you can get here: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php. It's a very simple program that doesn't even need to be installed to run. It's just a single .exe file.

This program will display everything about the processor in your system. Note that the clock speed on modern processors vary dynamically. Here's an example of what the interface looks like:

Sorry that I posted a copy from another web site. My mistake, this one is from my own system.
