This morning I decided to bring with me the k10d when I went to Ostia - a beach town next to Rome - for court hearing.

So I just tried the kit lenses I had with me.
My impression is great. I shot raw ( PEF ), and just adjusted sharpness and contrast in silkypix.

and the last one.
I'm mostly surprised from the sharpness of these 2 cheap lenses, and honestly it seems to be a huge difference between the jpg and a raw with simple editing, much more than with the k100d.

Nice shots, looks like a lot of traffic in the first picture.. or maybe they are parked.

Really nice first shots. Congrats on the new kit. I really like the sharpness of the first one especially.

Very nice snaps - really like the first one. The Pentax kit lens is one of the nicer ones, I still use mine quite often. Looks like you are going to have fun with the K10!

Seeing your pictures, the first two of which are my fave!, Ijust missed being in Italy : )

I do love the coloursfrom SilkypixThis is why I use PentaxPhoto Laboratory more often than the more feature rich CS3! Stopping down the aperture one more step to f/8 you may getresults which requires lesssharpening, a somewhatimproved corner performanceand greater DOF useful for such scenes.

Would be delighted to see further pictures ofyour lovely surrounding there!
