Pentax wise, probably the 12-24 or Sigma 10-20. Overall, Canon 5D.

I would be hard pressed to choose between more time or more talent. Perhaps, if I had more time I'd gain more talent.....

for me it would be the fa 31mm f/1.8 limited. will i ever get it, who knows since i already own the fa 35mm f/2. but i have this desire to complete the fa limited collection since i already own the 43 and 77.

another thing i would really like would be a portrait studio in the house.

In the pentax world, probably the infamous 31. Outside of the pentax world, it would have to be two items--Leica M8 and a voigtlander 35 f/1.2

Hard to argue with that.

Hi Ira,

Took a while to think of something that hasn't been mentioned -- I think I'd like a Wimberly Sidekick or a Jobu Black Widow (LW) head.

I'm going to try to use tripods more next season, and a premium gimbal head would fit into that scenario -- but they are pretty expensive. I did buy one of those Indian knockoffs last year, and I'm looking to modify it a bit and see if I can make it work better, but at this point, I'm thinking it might be futile.

Pentax 100mm Macro.

However, I am making do with the Pentax 18-250's macro capabilities which isn't bad.

Now as for total fantasy I would like a Pentax 1000mm that costs $500, has near perfect optical performance and is the size of the 18-250 with a constant F stop of 2.8 through the entire zoom range and macro through the zoom range of 1". Come on Pentax you can do it!!!!!!

One thing I might add to the macro thing is the DA18-55mm kit lens has pretty close focus. It closes down to about 8", which is good enough for many flowers and adding a closeup lens makes it almost a macro. It's not quite as sharp as my M50 macro, but in many situations does quite well.

Considering the price, it's apretty good lens. That and my DA50-200mm do a pretty good job when I want automatic lenses.Primes are always sharper, but not quite as universal or as fast. To prove my point, I have included an image of an Orchid taken recently with the DA18-55mm. Very little cropping was done- Bruce
