An FA* 24mm f2 (or maybe a DA 21mm f3.2 Limited). I really like the 35mm focal length on my film SLRs so a 24mm f2 would be a lighter sharper alternative to the Sigma 24-135mm I use now. The Sigma is a decent lens and f2.8 at the 24mm end BUT... it is very large and heavy.

This post is not meant to ask for your ultimate photographic fantasy, just one item you want RIGHT NOW but you can't currently afford, so no long lists please. Who knows, maybe we can help each other by offering alternatives.

Retirement! Seriously. Then I would have ample time to shoot more photos.

If it is photo related equipment then a laptop! I have all the lenses I need right now...By-by LBA!

There's 3 or 4 lenses that I wouldn't say no to right now. Probably the one I really have a thirst for but can't justify gettingis the 77 Limited. There are other lenses I would probably buy first - but that list would get REALLY long.

Without a shadow of a doubt - the Sigma 50-500mm otherwise known as the Bigma.

Having drooled over Roger's photos, and now BigDawg's I am almost insanely jealous!!!

We won't even mention Roy's recent buys!

I'm with Dal when it comes to the bigma. When I used film I had a really nice 35 to 135, and then I added a Sigma 24mm 2.8 and a Minolta 200mm 4. I also had a 50mm 2.0 for indoor stuff. So now I would like the Pentax 16mm and the bigma to go with my Tamron 24-135.

For me the 2 limited, 77mm and 31mm, probably more the first.
I would love to just try them once to have the feeling of their construction..

But at that price I could get the 2 DA* probably

With my recent lens setup it's hard to justify any lens purchases, but if an old unknown aunt passes away and make me her heir, I do have lust for an A*/FA* 200 mm macro and the A*/F*/FA* 300 mm 4/4.5. Anyone got a leftover in the drawer? And I'm waiting for a very short wide prime ~10-12mm.

My next purchase though, will probably be the new body, K20D or whatever it will be called. My *istDS would need to be sent in for some service before summer at least, and I certainly would like the antishake.

It will be a long time before Annette would allow me to get a new camera body (or forgive me if I go the "easier to ask forgiveness.." route.
