I can sure tell that a small, sturdy tripod is going to be a necessity.

I use this one. Very very el cheapo, but it actually does the job well when the legs are not extended. Can also be held against a wall or tree-trunk.

Great lens, Eddie. I heard you guys got some snow down there, at least my son had some in Woodstock. Anyway a good idea with the tripod is touse the 2 second delay. The mirror flips up, the camera has 2 seconds to re-steady itself and then thenshutter fires.Whenyou are taking closeups, like that flower, even the banging of the mirror on the camera body can cause enough shake totake away just a touch of sharpness. Looking forward to some more shots.
