Been a while since I've posted here. Seems life has gotten way to busy. I do make it here once in a while to catch up on your great photos and information. Still a great place to see some awesome photos from my favorite camera brand. I manage to find time to get a few shots and thought it was about time to share some with you since I've been enjoying those posted by everyone. We had some snow a few weeks ago and the birds were pretty active just before it started. They were also a little wet and cold looking.

This one found a spot to stay dry hiding in the ivy leaves.

And finally, a couple days later, it was just cold and they stayed nice and fluffy while waiting a turn at the feeder.

Neat pictures, I especially love the last one. But then, I always like your shots!

Thanks all for the nice comments.

All shots were with a Pentax K10D and a Sigma 50-500mm. The first two were with a fill flash.

I have joined the ranks of Bigma shooters. Finally decided I needed something better than the Quantaray 70-300 and the Bigma seemed like a good choice. I've been very happy with it. Also added a Sigma 105mm for some macro shots. I'll have to see if I can find a few shots taken with it.

Again, thanks for the great comments.

Very nice shots, Jim.

I know what you mean about life getting too busy. I keep trying to get here every few days to check things out and even then can't get through all the postings I'd like to. Hopefully things will slow down for us soon and we can spend more time shooting. The weather hasn't been helping here either. Just too dang cold or snowy to go out. Snow the last three days and for three more days. Luckily it's only a few inches each day. Not like Rogers'!
