Thanks for all of the comments ya'll. I think we will hitting one of the weekends for the next faire in Tampa. For those who are interested, I found a website with a calendar for these events, you can watch for ones close to you:

Terry, the Bay Area Renissance Festival should be within driving distance from Titusville.

Yes Tim it is about 2 hours or a little more from here. But I will probably be in Costa Rica when it opens. Do they really last as long as it says?

Yes, but on weekends only. There are six weekends IIRC, each with a different "theme." Homepage here: http://renaissancefest.com/BARF/index.html

As I understand it BARF is the biggest event of that type in Florida. I last attended it in High School (some *cough* *cough* years ago). Now that I am interested in photography I am seeking out events like this.

Costa Rica should be good for some great pictures.

Costa Rica is always good for pictures, but I only take my Pentax A30 with me, a big DSLR hanging around your neck or a big photo bag, just marks you for a tourist and a easy mark. Besides I have to attend to business when I am there not much time for the usual tourist stuff.

Nice work Tim, the action shots turned out really nicely. I didn't know that pizza was a medeival dish, nor did I realize how far back cardboard boxes went!
