Haven't posted many images here lately, so here are some concert shots I took at a local music contest last saturday.

Not my best ever, but they'll do I personally like the first one a lot. The pose of the girl and the lighting effect around the guitarists head make it a definite keeper

These are from 3 different bands btw.

These are great Tom! Very creative and artistic shots, and a great job capturing the lighting, it really helps to set the ambiance.

Really impressive - I'm very envious. You can see the advantages of having a fast (f2.8 short zoom. What lens did you use?

Thanks

I used the Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 EX Aspherical. (non-DG version)

Tom, these are not only fabulous (they are). They also announce TDN SHOT, I saw it immediately, before I checked who posted. IMO it means it's time you start making a living as a photographer. A lot of us here take somewhat good photos, but few have reached the level of a personal style. You have.

Outstanding use of available light. The various colored spot lights truly capture the ambience of the concert. Wow!

Being this type of photography is not at all easy to do I find this to be a calling of sorts for you. You definitely have the ability shown here to do some excellent work. I believe bands will seek you out for your excellent skills.
