It has been raining now for 2 days, even had a tornado about 12 miles south of here, might clear up tomorrow, but a rainy day is not a good day to go to the camera store. You spend entirely too much time and get to see all the stuff that you normally bypass as you are normally in a hurry. And you spend way too much money.

I got away cheap, 1 Manfrotto 055XPROB set of legs, a Optech 3/8" strap, and a Tamron Expedition 5X bag. Of course I picked the brains of everyone there as well, and had a couple cups of coffee, so not a wasted trip at all. Now all I have to do is find just the right ball head for the new tripod.

I ended up buying the reporter's strap. That way I don't have two camera straps getting tangled up if I'm shooting with both cameras, or I can use it with just one camera. Seems to work pretty well.

Camera shops remind me of camera magazines. After looking you suddenly "need" a bunch of stuff that 10 minutes ago you never new existed! But, hey, what are hobbies for if you can't spendsome money and have a new toy to play with?
