With my *istDS, I like to set the focus point manuallly to one of the eleven points & it's nice to be able to press the OK button to set this to the centre position.

*****h as I may, I don't seem to be able to find this in the options for K10.

Any one know if this is possible.

On the *istDS, it was under 'OK Button when shooting' & set to 'Centre of AF Point'.

Page 132 in the K10D manual suggests that this is the same as the ist DS.

But there's nothing there to explain how the OK button can be used to centralise the AF spot i.e. if it's set to the extreme right using the > key, pressing the OK to return it to centre.

The only way I can see to do this is by pressing the < key twice, in the above example.

I've kinda gotten used to the *istDS method which is quite useful & quick.

On the K10D you can set the AF button to centre the focus point.

It was added during one of the firmware updates.

Go into the CUSTOM menu and there is a line for setting up the AF button.

Thanks, silly me, I just thought that the firmaware in the supplied K10 would be to the lastest issue & not v1

Looks like this has been added in v1.1 although it's a shame that it links to the AF button & not the OK button which would have been more useful so as not to remove AF function which locks the AF point.

I know what you mean - you have to choose whether it is cancel AF or return to centre point.

I know - I just think it more appropriate that with using the position buttons around the OK function, it would be more obvious to us the OK button to centralise the focus point as is done on the *istD series of Pentax dSRLs.
