It may be a Glossy Ibis, I have another photo with this one flying wingtip to wingtip with another Ibis, I did not feel was sharp enough to post (Do they look like Glossy Ibis?).

All these photos were taken within a one mile strip while on foot.

A very rewarding excursion. You really have a wealth of birds in your surroundings. And you portrayed them well.

Ed, Here is a Glossy Ibisfrom the Viera Wetlands. Not a great pic but you get an idea of the coloring. They arevery iridescent .
I think your pic is of 2 Glossy Ibis. The immature white usually look kind of a mottled brown and white.

Nice shots. I'm amazed that you got several keepers of birds flying on that one day. I've tried a few times and have yet to get a single keeper. I did get a few of birds walking.

I believe you are correct, attached immage is one of my own of an immature Ibis. Will edit and re-lable as glossy Ibis.

I used two different lenses.

Sigma 100-300mm F4 with Sigma EX1.4 TC

Tokina 80-400mm F 4.5-5.6 with Kenco 1.5TC
