After re-doing my blog , I decided to get working on a selection of my best shots aswell.

Especially after seeing a marvellous exhibition of concert photography by some Belgian photographers today, I wanted to make a nice presentation for mine

You can find it here: http://www.tdn9.be/portfolio
(I'm particulary proud of the concert section)

Feedback, postive or negative is very welcome.

Tom

The bottom 2 were declined for the Pentax Gallery, and I cannot figure out a reason except that they don't really fit a category...

I checked out your site Tom and I like it very much, very clean and simple and it puts the photos first. Both your concert and street photographs are excellent. As to why Pentax Gallery did not accept those shots, I remain convinced that they have a strong (understandable) bias towards shots taken with Pentax lenses.

Wonderful work. It is time for me to redo my site, I also use Simpleviewer and my current galleries are out of date.

You know what I think of your photograpy, so there's no reason to spread grease on the butter.

Looking through your portifolio, I can actually understand why the two shots were declined. They don't shout "TDN photo" they're just normally "good shots". If I were you I would have submitted no's 2,3,6,21 and 22. They are not just very good, they have that little "extra" that makes them the very special TDN shots. I think that's what PG is looking for.

You give us all something to strive for.

Well, one of my shots finally got accepted.

Incidently, it's one of my all-time favourites, because of the expression, the light, and the "cleanness" of the shot.

Now that I know they accept concert shots in the documentary category, I'll see if I can get some more trough.

Hmmm - they also accepted yours with an unknown lens. The picture is wonderful, I can see why it got in.

Congatulations, Tom! Isn't it exciting?

I also like your gallery. Some wonderful photos there. I agree with Kjell. I think it was #22 that was my favorite of yours (the one with the two guys and guitars.
