at the ft. worth botanical gardens. spent 2 hours in the tropical room shooting guess what??
i'll post more after i PP them this was a quickie.

Very nice! I saw a Monarch when I was taking pictures of trees and parts of trees today in the botanical gardens. Missed the butterfly completely and didn't do very well with the trees, either. Some days just go like that - glad to see you had a good day instead.

i know what you mean. i'm thoroughly disappointed with my results. yes i got quite a few keepers but i wasn't using my glasses and i missed focus on at least 50% out of about 140 shots.. c'est la vie.....

Since I use variable focus glasses I have had to start removing them for shooting..Works better I found out...Nice BF there Roy!

ed, i use the same but have never had a problem before

here's some more.. best to hit F11 for fullsize.

actually this doesn't do the BMsjustice.. to see 3 or 4 of them flying together it's like a dance on the wind. so far getting inflights of them i've missed everytime.. these were all shot with either the A35-105/3.5 or the A70-210/4. diffused flash and bounce card.

Roy, I know you prefer manual focus, but age and autofocus really go together. Take it from the voice of experience. :blah:

Roy, those are really beautiful. The colors really jump out at you and in spite of all your focusing difficulties, these three turned out nice and sharp! Good work!
