I shot this in the town of Baden Weiler a couple of weeks ago. It seems an easy picture to look at but I was wondering how the trees worked as a frame for the paraglider. Tell me what you think.

I reworked it for the way I like it...If you are unhappy with it I will remove it! The limbs on the right were just in the way to me.

Sorry, Glenn but I would have to agree with Ed & Ishino. The limbs on the right was a touch "busy" & the lightened color of the sky really made the parachute "pop" if you will. It makes you wonder if he landed safely or in those trees.

Nice shot, though!

Hi Glenn,

I like Dawg's version for composition. I think he effectively showed that the branches on the right are a distraction, but my personal taste would tell me to go with a little less saturation and contrast than he did, at least for posting on the web.

For printing, sharper, more contrasty, and more saturated -- even to the point of exaggeration -- is sometimes desireable.

. . .but, as in all matters of taste, there is no true better or worse. . . just individual preference.

Thanks Scott. I agree with you. I like Dawgs composition as well. By the way, he turned around and landed in a big, open field about 200 meters away!
