It looks like an arctic midday in December, but I've got a feeling the temperature was a bit higher where you shot this.

As you say, cool shot but not chilly.

Just my opinion, but I like the color - its unusual for a sunset (assume your camera had the right time set on it). Looks very peaceful to me.

sorry it took so long for me to reply,

it was taken on my last trip to Santo Domingo, every evening the horizon was clear and usually you getthe best sunsets on clear horizons. but more colourful ones in april - may months. it was shot in raw and i was playing with the white balance and got that effect on tugsten,
