That Spring has sprung in the Ouachitas was obvious this week as my daffodils finally poked their way out

but a much surer sign of Spring came Thursday and Friday night when line after line of severe thunderstorms rumbled over the area. I took my first shot at lightning photos and got lucky a couple of times

Finally, I installed a new feeder outside my bedroom to allow closeups of visiting birds, shooting through the patio door. The results so far have been encouraging

And, I loved this chickadee, who decided the best way to wrest the feeder away from the American goldfinches, was through the dive-bombing technique, even ifthe photo is a little soft

All good ones Paul. Lightning photos do take a lot of luck...I've had none in my attempts so far.
