I was playing with Lightroom today. Never actually used it for BW but it seems like fun moving all those colour sliders to achieve different effects. and both of these pictures look much better in BW than colour. any comments and suggestions are welcomed

ist DL2 Vivitar S1 105mm macro, all exif should be there

Both of these are wonderful! Lightroom is lots of fun for b&w - I find it easier to get something that pops with it than with channel mixer with CS2. Well done!

Greg,

I'll jump in here. I love both of the shots. They are variations on a theme but each is totally unique. The black background is effective. Did you do that in PP or in the shot? The tonality reminds me of infrared shots from film days. Well done!
