On Wed I ordered a Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro, paid for overnight shipping, I wanted it right away, arrived Thur morning, opened the box with anticipation, and what did I find, a Sigma 12-24 DG HSM for a Nikum, I was devestated. Called right away, they actually shipped another thur and I just took it out of the box. I think I am going to like this lens.

This picture is the same one I have been playing with now for a couple days, new shot old subject. Those that followed the other thread might recognize this shot.

Not bad, but its hard to say exactly since the DOF is pretty small. I'd want to see more examples before making a snap judgement. Is the lens an AF lens, out of curiosity? Not that I've ever used AF for macro (even when I had an AF macro lens), but just wondered.

Yes it is an AF lens, but I dont use it as such, AF is pretty useless on Macro.
