Thanx! Still snowing here today, but melting right away.

In 55 weeks I'll be on St John in the Virgin Islands for my daughter's wedding! Woo Hoo!

How about a taste of spring for all you northerners? I found this poor California Poppy today - it's one of the few that have come out on the Gorman Hills, and it was being tossed around so much by the wind, I was surprised it hadn't gotten blown to bits.

Thanks and Happy Easter.

I am sitting here now with a coffee, thanks Jay, watching a snow flurry deliver more to the three foot mound on my patio. Harriet, the only flowers I can see here are the ones my wife Annettephotographed last summer. All this and we still have April to look forward to.

Hey Rickst, can you take us with you?

Ira

Happy Easter, too! Yesterday was really nuts. Had this on the tiled roof accross the street in the morning:

And then I was in a light sweater to take this in the evening!

Global warming?? Whatever, I hope everyone has a happy resurrection Sunday!

Glenn

The funny thing is that this picture was taken by the K10 with my K-mount Takumar 135mm 2.5 lens - not exactly a top rated lens. I'm not sure what aperture I was using, think it was 5.6 because I was trying to keep the shutter speed over 1/1000. While the lens isn't a macro lens, it does focus reasonably close to the subject - poppies are pretty good sized flowers. Don't think I did much to it in LR, maybe cropped it a bit or adjusted exposure a bit, then a bit of smart sharpen/USM in CS2.

Thanks It is up to 35F today, but back down to 22F at night, so the thaw is slow at best.
