This is the gate to the forest in our enclosure we have to keep the dogs in our garden. The neighbours, who are hunters, don't appreciate when they go up there to trace roes or wildhog.

Tonight , as we had some friends for easter dinner, I saw this through the window. Only one thing to do, excuse myself and grab the camera. Two minutes later the evening sun had moved to another spot. One of the friends suggested I call it Watergate, since the lawn now rather is a pond and you have to put your Wellingtons on to get there.

I like the contrast of the wood and snow. The wood has a glow to it!
