Butterflies are back with the first warm days. I tried all last year to get a Giant Swallowtail, but they were in constant motion -- just wouldn't sit still. This one was warming itself in the sun and taking its first meal. Most of the shots were into the sun (if I would have moved, it would have left). K10D with Tamron 70-300 LD Macro.

I like number2 with the slightly subdued lighting. Very nicely done.

Hi Penolta,

Very Nice!

Almost enough to make me believe that Spring is actually on it's way -- but not quite:-). We had a couple of days in the 50's, then a freaky snow storm last week (like around 9"), then it warmed up again and we had two days in the 60's, then the temp dropped (again) and we got more snow a couple of days ago. Now the temps seem to be going back up. Needless to say, I've not put the winter clothes away yet. . .

Very nice series Penolta. My favorite is #2 for the composition.
