Sorry I didn't get around to voting this month, congratulations Patty, I await the May challenge.

I voted early myself, and have no quarrel with the winning entry, but I don't recall any recent monthly challenge being closed off after what amounts to only two days' voting. Last month's was short too (and people got left out), but not this short. I think that in the future, the number of days to be allowed for voting should be specified in advance, so that everyone who wants to can have the opportunity toexpress their choice.
I second that motion, let's vote on it.

(With more time I think I could havebribedenough super delegates to have gotten an honorable mention.)

Well, I came to vote after not having been on practically all month and found the tallies counted. I am honored that so many people have voted for my photo already. And, would have no hard feelings if we were to keep the voting open for a little while longer. I realize the longer we have it open, the less time for the challenge. But, I would vote to keep every month open for at least 4 days with a new topic posted by the 5th or 6th.

I'll wait to see if others feel we should keep this one open at least 24 more hours. Besides, I haven't got a topic ready yet anyway never expecting to have won.

Patty

Forgot to cast my vote in case we'll decide to keep it open a little longer. My vote goes to Glenn's old woman. I agree with all the others, this as been the toughest challenge to vote on yet. Many, many fine entries.

Who won is not the issue - there was a clear trend towards two images, one of which was likely to have been picked no matter how long the voting period was. My point is that there were 31 members who made the effortto enter, and only 14 members (not all of whom were entrants) got to register a vote. At least all of the entrants, given their vested interest, should have had an opportunity (as well as any other interested members) to express an opinion. What's done is done. We should just make an effort in the future to set a deadline -- perhaps 5 days (especially important when a weekend intervenes) - so no one gets left out.

Penolta,

Being new to the forum I did not realize I was cutting it off so short. I agree given the time zones involved, it would definitely make sense to keep the voting open longer. I apologize to all for not giving this more consideration.
