Attended a High School choral recital at the Cathedral Basicllica of the Assumption in Covington, KY last week. While Iwas unable to get any good images of the choral groups singing, Icaptured these images of the interior with the DL and 18-55mm Kit lens.

Cannot decide if I like the landscape orientation...

Or the portrait orientation

Magnificient Stained Glass

The first two say different things to me- the first one shows a packed house, while the second one concentrates more on the architecture. I like them both.

I like #1 because it shows the vastness of the building. I wish I could hear that organ!

Great captures esp with the kit lens.

Stained glass can be really tough to expose for.

Thanks all! As I was looking at teh first image, I realized it could do with some perspective correction. I ran it through PSE and I think it looks better.

Harriett: Your observation about the emphasis on a packed church vs. architecture is a good one. I like 'em both as well!

Dal: Indeed, exposure for stained glass is tough. I figured the only way to properly expose for both is to use some internal flash lighting.

This kit lens continues to do well by me!!

In any event, here is the perspective corrected image.
