Hi Guys

I know Jay Will Get a kick out of this Shot!!. I Just returned from a eastern caribeen Cruise. While there we Visited St Marteen. This Shot is from Maho Beach
This picture While not Technicality the Best. Shows a Boeing Jet Landing at the local Airport. Note that the Runway Is just over the Beach and Across the road. While you cannot it Almost feels like you can touch the plane!!
And the most fun. While i did not Get a picture is When a plane takes off. What the local kids Do is Stand on the wall across from the runway. Since there is no blast shield, when the pilot Guns the motor, The Blast from the thrust of the motor knocks them Into the water!!

Just though All Might Enjoy

Phil

Hi Phil,

Holy Smokes...I can smell the jet fuel! I've heard of Maho Beach as perhaps the world's best place to plane spot. I'm envious that you actually got to visit there! Your description of the kids being blown into the water from the jet blast sounds like a hoot! Thanks for the posting!

On Tuesday and Thursday KLM Lands a 747 there and they tell Me its quite a sight!!

Another bit of Trivia. While it is hard to see in my picture. At the end of the runway, there are actually 2 Fences. The tour guide told me that a few years back the 2nd fence was not there. At that Time the kids would Grab the fence and hold on Tight, as the blast hit them It Would lift their bodys almost straight out from the fence. He said so many ended up getting Hurt that they put the second fence up.
