Very cool! I was lurking somewhere else and there was a thread comparing this lens to the Tamron 70-300 and the DA*300. As expected, the DA*300 was sharper than the other two, but I thought the 55-300 did extremely well against it, and better than the Tamron. It looked slightly sharper and really had no PF compared to the Tamron. Post some pictures when you are able - I wasn't interested in this lens until I saw the thread, but it seems like it offers a nice, relatively compact package for significantly less than the 300 prime, and I suspect it would be better than the DA50-200.

That is over in dpreview i believe. I have a better than average sharp Tamron with virtually no PF at all so i wont be getting the da....it is smaller though and has the extra bit at the wide end so is definatly one to be considered when looking at a telephoto zoom. Then again it costs 3 times as much

When you find how well you like it ...go to Easysharers and let Anne "AML" know about it. She was asking and I can't tell her as I don't have it!
