Just got a used remote control F-it didn't come with a manual. Tried setting the shooting mode to the 3 second delay-didn't work-fired immediately. The Pentax website didn't have any pdf manual for the remote-amyone have any suggestions? Also, what is the second button on the remote for? Thanks

If this is what you have, it is a remote control E.

The second button is for power zoom.

See pp 81-83 in your K10D manual for operation. I had the remote E for use with an Optio, and use it with the dslr bodies as it is compatible with all Pentax cameras with IR remote releases. Ignore the second button - it only operates zoom functions on point and shoots. The shutter release buttonshould work as it does on the Remote F, provided you have enabled the correct function (either instant or delayed release) on the Fn menu screen.
