Old barns conjure up images of simpler times, the wooden ones being the most picturesque. My wife is from Pennsylvania and we have driven around the rural countryside, encountering many of those, unfortunately rapidly deteriorating, but the old paintedadvertising was still visible, exhortingone to "Chew Mail Pouch" or some other tobacco, or to drink Dr. So-and-So's Elixer.

It is nice be ableto have these nice photographs ofthse taken while they still exist. I like the solarized one, too, but it would look more realistic if the effect were mirrored in the reflections in the water!
