Our mission had a conference at a beach in Spain about 2 hours south of Barcelona. It was cool out, but the sun brought a few people to the Med. Thisis Papa Luna'scastle at Peniscola. He was the Spanish Pope for a few years several centuries ago. Both taken with the DL and Tamron 24 - 135. The second one was a time exposure of about 5 seconds with a small aperture so I could get the star effect on the lights. I don't remember who mentioned that in a former post, but to whoever it was, thanks. It makes the picture a little nicer!

Thanks, Eddy. There was a cement wall between the beach and the sidewalk and it worked perfectlyas a tripod.

Glen

Great Shots both. I Really like the Night Shot the best. I tried my hand at that a few weeks Ago on our cruise and it was an unqualifed disaster.
I was trying to get some night Shots of the Fort"El Moro" in San Juan as we cruised past at Approx 10PM. I was shooting with My 28-105 FA 3.2-4.5. Maybe it was that the Ship was moving but The pictures all Ended up in the recycle bin.
Im Sorry Now that i left my 50 1.4 at Home!!!!

Great job.

Thanks Jay, Phil, Patty and Rodney. Phil, I am sure it was the motion of the boat. I tried doing a hand held and it was quite blurry. I also use the 2 second delay on the shutter options so as to help keep down camera shake from the mirrorbanging around in there.

The first one is funny - the lone sunbather on a lonely beach with the lovely castle in the background. I really like it and it brought a smile to my face. However, I can't argue with those who prefer the night version- it is special.
