Steam Engine & Snow


Today was the 1st day for the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic railroad for the 2008 season. The photos start at Chama New Mexico (8,000 ft.) and go to the top of Cumbres Pass (10,000 ft.

Cold & Wet makes for a lot of steam.

Two of these photos were taken with a Canon. The others are with my K10D and a Tamron 24 - 135.

Lucky me there is a road pretty close to the tracks for the 1st 12miles or so.

Wonderful and fun series, Roger. I think I like #s 3, 4 and 5 the best but they are all good. I use that same Tamron and have been quite pleased with it. By the way, good luck at the gallery.
