Taken with Sigma 28-70 F2.8 EX DF @58mm, 1/90, f2.8, ISO 1600 on DS. Used some light noise Ninja to reduce graininess. I was unwilling to use flash with 6 hours old baby.

Smart move avoiding flash - they say it isn't a good idea to use one around a baby.Congrats on the new addition to your family.

Congratulations. I have eleven grandkids and one gret grandkid. They are always in my heart. I usually get around a window with light curtains so I have enough ambient light for these photos.

Great shot. He looks like he'd rather be somewhere else!

Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Dawg, our family will not be competing in numbers of grand kids! This is our second so far. cheers

Here is another shot. Same camera, lens, no flash, but hand held 1/15 sec.

2 1/2days old.

Congratulations!!! I have 1 grandchild (see my avatar) and I don't get to see him nearly enough. Your grandchild seem to be so wide awake!!! I saw my grandson for the first time when he was 6 weeks old, and I don't think he opened his eyes more than twice the entire week. :-)

Congratulations on the new addition to your family. No grandchildren here, my oldest (daughter) is 14. I am polishing the shotgun and practicing my sneer in hopes of keeping it that way for some time to come! :-)
