Well, we're not going to the state meet, but both girls ended the year on a high note:

8th grader--4th in Long Jump, 3rd in open 200 meter, 2nd in 4X100 relay

Senior--2nd in 4X100 relay, 3rd in 4X400 relay

K10 with Tamron 70-300mm

My Senior hands off in the 4X100 relay

An emotional time, indeed. Well documented, love the pictures. Of course, you'll still have a daughter to take pictures of next year, too. Is the older one planning on college and possibly continuing track there?

Sports competitioncreates some of the most enduring memories of a person's life. For teenagers there are very few events that forcethem to find out how they deal with fear, tension and emotion like a game, meet or match. Thanks for reminding us of the value of sports in our kids' lives.

She'll be attending the U of Minneapolis--she has no plans for track there.
