The wolf in me couldn't resist, had to try the K20 with my 600 mm+2X TC. It passed.

Yes, I use Lightroom. It's faster than any other I have tried and reminds of RSP (no wonder!). But I don't know how much stereoids I'd have to pump into my computer to get a processing speed that I'd find OK.

Can't argue with that picture - super sharp. Looks like an excellent camera/lens/TC combination.

Awesome shot Kjell. I tried to take a look at the EXIF information in RAW Therapee, but it wasn't available. Would you mind sharing it with us? Also, I assume you used a tripod?

Hi Kjell,

Well, I think this should dispell some of your doubts -- I've never gotten anything this good of the moon. Looks like the "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" thing needs to be put aside in favor of some confidence in the replacement cam.

Very, very nice, Kjell. Outstanding!

The biweekly challenge now is "shooting the moon". You should submit it over there.

Camera K20D (of course), Pentax A*600 mm f5.6, Pentax Rear Converter A 2XS. ISO 400, 1/50 sec f7,1, I'm not sure how to calculate "true" f-stop when taking the 2X converter into the calculation. Tripod yes, I don't think even Arnold Schwartzenegger would handhold this combo. I wish I had a more stable tripod, though. $$$$$, sigh.
