A number of technically very good and enjoyable photos. Particularly like those of Harriet, Penolta, Peacemaker (where is it? a Casino?), No_Pro. But the photo that grabs me each time is the hub cap from a200user, so he gets my vote. Cheers to all.

Hey Daniel,
Hope you don't mind an ignorant question… what kind of bird is that? It looks like an Ibis but, the ones I'm use to seeing are orange where yours is a dark bluish purple. Just curious.
Thanks

Quite a few impressive images. I like penolta's dandy, Harriet's staircase & drivers industrial lights.
I am a big fan of industrial structures/fittings and I vote for driver3's (Dennis) industrial lights. Lovely.

Another struggle this month. We've got a number of themes going on -

Ceilings - Harriets and Peacekeeper (isn't itthe entry foyer in my home? - No I guess not, if that was my house I'd have a K20D instead of a K100D)

Nautical - Trojansoc's torpedo tube and No-Pro's seashell.

Aviation - albreca's ballon and jelpee's prop.

Lights - Goldwing85, PDL, and Driver3

Pincushion flowers - Snooked and Goldwinger.

I really liked all of these, butI have to pick one andit will be No_Pro's seashell. The back lighting showing the radial bands is great. Nice job.

I vote for a200user's tire & hubcap. Amazing dynamic range and superb clarity and sharpness.

Any of the pictures posted could win. I'm having a harder than normal time deciding what to vote for (well, I always have a tough time). Since I can't make up my mind at the moment, I thought I would mention a couple of pictures that I don't think I mentioned before.

Panagiotis's football is a wonderful picture, I really like the DOF on it, with the perfect focus.

I don't know if I said anything about it, but having taken many pictures of dandelions (they are such fun to photograph), I really appreciate Penolta's picture - it's about as perfect a dandelion picture as you can get.

Phil's picture of the artillery rounds seems to be one of the most apropos - they are twice round (and what got me thinking of visual ways of using the word "round"). It's the reason I've had such fun with this topic this month.

There are about 3 pictures that I keep going back to - I'm going to take a look at them again tomorrow before I vote, too tired to make a decision right now.

I like a lot of them, but mtngal's staircase is my final answer.
