Hi all, Here's a shot of a common garden plant, so whatisit ... I think Roy has seen this before, so I hope he wont mind staying out. ... Jack.

It looks familiar, but I'm not sure Whatisit. Not having a scale of the size or being able to see the leaf structure (I assume these are the buds before bloom?) makes it more difficult.

But to get things started I'll take a fly at it - is it Sedum - Stonecrop?

I'm gonna guess asparagus that's gone a bit past the right picking time.

OK ! we have a winner ... Yes Kjell, it is a coarse grass seed head. The last time I tried this was with a much finer grass, and it was a difficult one to fathom out ... Jack

Hi Scott,

I wouldn't know about asparagus, I don't know of anyone who grows aparagus in my part of the UK, I know it's done further south. Thanks for the try anyway ... Jack.
