Anyone have information that shows what the max SD card supported by the latest firmware is? I know they support SDHC now, I just want to know how big of an SD card I could use with my camera.

Although I have not tried it, the last firmware update to the DL was the one that alled the DL to read the new SDHC format. To me this would mean that the camera shuould be capable of reading the newer High Capacity cards...I use 2GB cards with no problem.

If you want really test it...take the camera to a local camera store and test it out on one of their in-house cards.

According to what I have found, 1.03 is the latest firmware which has added more compatibility for SDHC cards, 1.02 was the firmware that added SDHC support. I have a 1GB and 2GB cards. I was just curious if anyone knew what the max size was. I remember reading once in the forums someone saying that 4GB was the max.

I belive you are correct. The Max is 4GB...but again you can always test it!

Now on a different note...may I ask why you want a card greater than 4GB. A single point of failure especially with the number of photos one can store on a large SD card only increases your risk. Why not try to diversify the risk by using multiple smaller cards. Oh BTW it is cheaper too!!

Hope U find the answer

Well, I was just scoping out SD cards. I saw one that was 16GB... My 1GB and 2GB cards have not failed me yet and handle a large number of photos already so I probably won't go for anything bigger anyway. I was just curious.
