Here are a few shots I took at the Dunkirk NY Lighthouse Festival. The wife and kids and I decided to go for a drive along the lake and ended up here. They did a WWII re-enactment and had food and displays. Small but fun for the family.

Nice series. I like the old lighthouse itself! They sky looks exceptionally clear for the area instead of that steel gray it so often is.

Nice series. I also like the Light House Shots. Did they reenact any Particular battle?

Only in the winter time. Summer is actually quite nice most of the time.

I'm thinking it was the invasion of normandy on D-Day, but the american troops ended up surrendering so I don't know. We arrived late to the re-enactment because we were checking out the displays around the yard by the lighthouse.

Very nice shot of the lighthouse. If you get a chance next year try to catch the reenactment, those are great photo opps.

Cool! Lighthouses! One of our local ones is open next weekend. I've been debating trying to climb to the top again. We'll see.

Then you know it's not always grey around here. I know it's Western NY and all and we get a bad rep for the snow and cold winters. But the summers are actually quite nice.
