I don't want to start this again but here is a cropped shot using the K10D and the F 100-300mm f4.5-5.6 lens. Puffins fly very fast so I am amazed that I got anything at all.

ISO640, 300mm, f10, 1/800

They are lightning fast and to freeze them at 1/800s is not quite easy at all
