GW...I usually use a Daisy Buck BB gun on the squirrels here....I believe you need a 30-06.

All I can say is YIKES! I've quit putting bird seed out for this very reason. We have bears around here every summer. Although, I haven't seen any in a while.

You can keep the bears in Texas.

While i have a Daisy BB gun. In an attempt to Be Humane too the squirrels, I have used My Sons Paint Ball gun a few times. Makes for a very visible Target For a few days :lol:.

Black bears were hunted to extinction decades ago around here but are making a comeback now. One was shot in a residential neighborhood in Athens just this month.
