:blah:

Just thought I would drop in and say, "Hello"

A lot of things happened, new job, new house, going back to school FT overran my time for sports photography so I had stepped out for a while. I sold all of my C**** gear a while back and have recently rediscovered some new areas in photography. I have been attempting some macro and automotive photography, but the advanced P&S isn't cutting it.

When I started looking for another DSLR, of course I went to where I was last and was looking for a Canon, but then I suddenly remembered the friends that I have been missing here and the great photos we once shared. I realized that Pentax would be a great camera if I didn't have a need for readily-available, long, fast glass... So I stumbled across a great deal on a K10D/Grip Kit.

It should be here next week, but I thought I would go ahead and re-introduce myself. I hope there are no hard feelings

There's never any bad feelings when one has a good reason for changing brands, and sports photography is one of those good reasons to go Canon. Welcome back to the Pentaxian fold, so to speak.

Buy some quality glass and it will perform just as well as Canon or Nikon other than AF.

Welcome!

It's great to see you back here, "Nick"!

If you recall, you were still on this forum when I was just considering delving into the dSLR world. You answered some of my more basic questions at the time.

I decided on the K10D myself after about a year of hemming and hawing.

Welcome back!!!

Welcome back. This forum is one of the reasons I went with Pentax in the first place. Hmmm, maybe Pentax should be subsidizing us for Steve.
