Wow, those are quite nice. I would have guessed a dedicated macro prime, not a zoom lens. Is this an A or an M Pentax 70-210? The middle shot out of those three is just about perfect Glen, nice job.

Very nice, Glen. Inspires me to keep trying to get crisp, clear shots like these with my K100D. I do get some, just not as often as I'd like.

I really like that first one. Sharp, and brilliant color.

Hello Tim,

I guess I should clarify.

The 1st shot (the bee in flight) was taken with my SMC Pentax-A Zoom 1:4 70~210mm lens zoomed in at 210mm. It is a manual focus lens with a "Macro" feature at the 70mm focal length which I did not use.

The other three shots were taken with my Sigma DC 18-200mm 1:3.5-6.3 Auto-focus lens which is my "walk-about / I don't know what I'm going to aim my camera at next so lets have a good range of focal lengths to play with" lens.

After taking the three shots of bugs standing still, I decided to go out the next day to capture a bug in flight and thought I might have better luck (or at least some fun) with my manual tele-photo zoom.

Take care,
