Hello All,

I'm finally at peace with my Pentax K100D!

I finally took a shot that I am ecstatic about. (Please see attached, which I call "Bee -- Happy!").

My friends all have Cxxxx D-SLRs and I've been thinking of jumping ship.

This shot is captured on an overcast day in the shade (so really hurting for light) with my Pentax K100D, using my manual focus Pentax 70-210 lens at F8 and the built-in flash to try to give some light on the situation (so shutter speed is 1/180sec) and handheld - exposure settings set manually.

No more "wishing" and "wanting", I'm just going to sit down and take more pictures with my K100D and learn about photography!

Take care,
Glen Fujino

Great shot, Glen. Difficult to get the bee in flight. Really like the flower color. Post some more.

Fantastic shot. You, your K100D and lens seem to be an unbeatable combo. Show the pix to some of your Canon owning friends and I'm sure they will think about jumping ship.:-)

Very nice. Insect in flight shots are a real challenge and you got a good one.

Hello Everyone,

Thank you very much for the comments.

Here are some more pictures I took the day before the "Bee -- Happy!" picture.

I liked them so much, it inspired me to go out and try to capture a bee in flight.

Take care, Everyone!

Yours truly,
Glen Fujino

With pictures like that, who needs a new camera? These are wonderful! The neat thing about photography is that its SO rewarding when everything goes right. But it isn't easy, no matter what camera you use.So enjoy the camera you have and have fun learning more about it.

Nick,

I love your butterfly image.

Where can I see more of your images?

Take care,

Glen,

All very good and particularly this one at very close range and with the subject a substantial part of the frame. Job well done. Take pict of them while you can as cold weather is coming shortly
