Hello,
I completely agree on the soft background. It totally focuses your attention on the bird, which is so sharp . . . and the pose! How did you get the bird to pose so perfectly.
These are lovely shots!

The pose was pure luck Glen. I happened to be in the right place (my front porch rocking chair) when the bird flew in and started eating the berries and singing.
