Like I said-it's a science project-I expect to turn the flash on and use it without an exercise. This is not a $50.00 flash-it should work out of the box.

Well Jack, I think your last ine says it all.

If you are happy with the equipment you are using, then it will be a whole lot easier to relax with it and take some great shots.

Good luck, and it looks like a wise choice.

DMJJR ... I'm sorry, but I can't agree with your thinking, I don't expect that degree of perfection in any aspect of life. With this sort of technology I expect to read and

learn instructions, and then put them into practice. ... The two minor hiccups I had were no big deal. Such perfection to me would be boring, perhaps being a technician

in my working life, and having to solve problems dailyhas generated this way of thinking. ... Jack

Thanks Dal, I totally agree with your comment ... if equipment is doing what you want, you can't reallyask for more. The basic functions are mainly what I need, the

more advanced ones are there to use as and when required. ... Jack

Yeah OK GW !, I'm pleased with the shots, after I'd posted these I found I shot the second at -1 EV, result of me experimenting. It's my first experience of Metz ... I

knew they had a good reputation. Imust say the unit's build quality is excellent, and it's obviously working well, so I can't ask for more. Thanks for commenting. ... Jack
