This was my first event photography attempt with the K20D. The LoveFest is a celebration of music, dance, love, etc. It was definitely filled with revelers and wacky costumes. Needless to say, my K20D and Metz 48 AF-1 flash got a thrashing while navigating through the crowds, but it was worth it.

On a side note, I saw like 5 Pentax DLSRs also out and about at the event.

Here's some of my favorite photos from the event. Rather than post them all here, you can see additional photos on my Flickr set: http://www.flickr.com/photos/inferno...7607750310155/

Very cool and colorful. So, what was your costume?:-)

I was dressed like a normal person, and felt a bit out of place because of that. Despite that, I had a great time over there, although my feet were tired after being at the event for 9 hours.

Next year I'll probably wear something more "appropriate" for that event.

#2 is a great action shot, Jason. Wacky costumes is an understatement! I checked out the series on flickr and it is a nice slice of life of a place I have never been.

Wonderful shots - your pictures are always so interesting. It doesn't matter whether you have fascinating subjects like this or not. Looks like a good time was had by all here.
