Hello Everyone,

I've been quiet.

Grandad passed away this weekend. When my wife got the call, she rushed back to the nursing home to be with her mother, leaving me with the girls.

In the morning when our eldest daughter Madelyn, who is seven, woke up I told her that Grandad had passed away. She asked me what "passed away" meant. After I told her, she turned to her little sister Emma who is 5 months old and said, "I'm so sad. I'm going to miss grandad. But, you didn't even get to know him. At least we have some pictures I can show you." And then she gave Emma a hug.

I cried again, to see my daughter, as sad as she must have been, thinking of her sister more than herself.

This picture is of our visit just about 2 weeks ago.

Take care,

I very sad to hear that Glen. You have a treasure in that daughter. Unselfishness is fast disappearing.

My condoleances, also pass them to your family.

The picture is wonderful, the life span at both ends. A wonderful memory when the immediate shock and sorrow has lifted.

I'm sorry to hear this. I echo GW. Sounds like you have a wonderful family and even though these times are rough, they remind us of just how important our families are.
