Just as beautiful as Rodney's parrots. I think you'll have to wait till he puts his breeding suit on to see the bluish green colour, though. Is there a Mrs Jewel?

If you haven't had this species before, a warning out of my own experience. They are extremely territorial when breeding, my couple killed four fully grown angelfish (twice their size) before I got rid of them.

Nice, Glenn. We used to have cichlids. We had two like your second shot. We ended up losing them all when our pump went out in a power failure while we were on vacation. Haven't replaced them since. But, we did enjoy them. Much easier to take care of than dogs or cats.

Anyway, I like your shots.

Very pretty fish! I don't know anything about them, but they sure are pretty. And your pictures are excellent - it's hard to take good aquarium pictures.

I agree with Harriet they are so pretty and good shots, I find aquarium shots very difficult.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Cichlids are very easy to raise, but they are very aggressive. I had to take one of them out because he was killing the others. I have 5 now, but no mates so there is no spawning which causes much of the aggression.
