Very, very pretty, Rick. There is a spot similar near my home that I've tried a few times to get. Just never comes out like yours here. You mentioned custom WB. That may be what I need to do. Some I was taking today, the green leaves were coming out yellow and I was going to try setting the WB, but it was getting too dark by then.

Last night must have been the turning point as today I saw lots of spots on the way to work. Attempted a few shots tonight after work before it got too dark. Looks like I may miss the bulk of it this year as I leave for a week on Sunday. Will probably all be gone by the time I return.

Patty,
I think our colors will peak in the next week to week and a half. I'm trying to delay a trip I have to make to the Boston area until after the peak here.

Kind of interesting...One of my nephews that I see very rarely (he's in the Navy and lives/works near Groton, CT) stopped in Minnesota last week. I found out that he's an avid photographer and he's using a K10! Anyway, he's invited me to "stop in" during my Boston trip and we'll go shooting in that area--I can hardly wait based on some of the stuff he showed me that he's been taking out there (waterfalls, nice seescapes, night shots of great bridges, etc.)

Beautiful, deserves to be on a wall, lovely art. I just love these types of shots, the leading path fires the imagination.

A beautiful shot and what a neat story. Hope you manage to get together with your nephew and have some fun shooting.

Very nice shot Rick. I seem to remember that someone on this forum had a country lane that they photographed as the seasons changed. I think it looked something like this one, was that you and is this it?

That shot instantly brought to mind Robert Frost. It is a beautiful shot of a beautiful place.

Yes, that was me--I shoot this lane three to four times a year. In the next week or two, the colors will shift to a burnt orange...
