Pentax has announced that they're lowering the price of the K20D to $999. See Steve's Breaking News page:

And $849 at Cameta as of last week. They must have had advance notice - I grabbed one thinking they were feeling the economic pinch and it would go up again. I wonder if this foreshadows a new introduction (K30?)? After only the lone K2000D intro at Photokina I figured it would be next year sometime.

Last week's offer was with free shipping, so it is about the same.

That $829 price from Cameta is a pretty good. It's $869 delivered from buydig.com, and they often have the lowest price on camera bodies from a well known and reputable vendor.

Cameta has a good reputation, too. I've bought several of my lenses from them, and a number of our forum members have purchased factory reconditioned Nikon dSLR bodies from them. They sell both new and factory reconditioned gear (and they have a good rep on Ebay since they sell a lot of gear there).
