I got a chance to meet Tim (NonEntity1) this weekend and go do a little shooting with him.(super nice guy) he let me try out a few of his lenses... we had a very productive day! thanks again Tim.

this flower looks (to me) like a slightly intoxicated bird at a party with the proverbial lamp shade on his head!

not sure what this little guy is, looks like a black ladybug.

a milkweed nymph

later that evening as we were nearing home

Very nice pictures! I love rainbows, though the first one is my favorite.

Hey John, those are all good shots! The macros have excellent detail.

I also very much enjoyed getting to meet John and do some shooting together. Considering that most of us can't walk into a store in our area and examine a selection of Pentax mounts, it is a neat way to get a feel for lenses you have never used before.

BTW, John, I met the author of the insect book last night.

All good, I'm a sucker for rainbows, that's my favourite, they always bring back good memories and make me smile.

Thanks Dal, for the kind words.
I cheated a little bit. I took two pics. one focused to the front of the bug a the other focused on the back. then I clipped the sharp front half and pasted it on the sharp back half:G
